As much as Children enjoy taking pills for everything from headache to attention deficit disorder their habits are limited by their parents.
Popular Adult’s Drugs-
LSD:

Otherwise known as ‘Acid’ this is a Schedule 1 drug, meaning highly addictive with little to no medical purpose. Nearly impossible to monitor when taking- the dosing is unstable to regulate at best as it takes liquid form and therefore users have no idea what amount is being consumed till 9 hours into a ‘bad trip’.
A Hallucinogen, LSD can cause both visual and auditory hallucinations, tremors, nervous breakdown, time perception loss, and permanent psychosis.
Many times the effects will be felt within 30 minutes and last up to 16 hours. LSD is considered a gateway drug as it will have lasting impact and can cause permanent changes to the user.
Cocaine:

A Psychotic, Compound Drug, the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) has by virtue of Addiction Level, placed Cocaine as a Schedule 1 drug.
Highly addictive, Cocaine promotes psychotic behavior, paranoia, aggression and loss of reality can occur. As a compound drug, it’s effects are permanent. A staircase, so to speak as users will continue taking the drug just to feel normal again as they only keep getting higher and trying to avoid withdrawl.
As a blood thinner it serves as a chemical agent which can help keep the body free of natural disease and virus that can affect the blood. Typically the effects take hold immediately and overdosing is very common as with most Schedule 1 narcotics, users lack formal education.
Heroin:

An Opiate (Pain-Killer), Heroin is highly fatal and frighteningly addictive. Also a Schedule 1 narcotic due to it’s addiction levels despite use as Morphine and a powerful numbing agent it’s frequent abuse and deaths attributed to, cannot be overlooked.
Heroin as an Opiate will produce a detached feeling from the body considered euphoria. As use increases the dose required to reach euphoria will increase and will many times result in overdose death.
Pain Killers serve society well however many people cannot control themselves regarding anything which they desire.
Ecstacy:

A stimulant (upper) Ecstacy is a synthetic laboratory produced Schedule 1 drug. With almost no medical use and being highly addictive MDMA, is one of the scarier drugs known to modern science.
Producing effects which simulate euphoria, desire contact and sexual activity will see this drug’s popularity increase over the years dating back to the mid 90’s. However with risks that include brain damage, seizures, massive heart failure, severe depression and manic episodes, many users will discover that the risk involved might not be worth it, however as with all Schedule 1 drugs, Ecstacy is highly addictive therefore prone to abuse.
Most synthetic drugs are modified and altered so that by the time they reach the user there’s no saying what they’ve been combined with or contain.
